Sherrie N VP Engineering
Welcome!
Curious about the acronyms after my name? Here’s a quick rundown: I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Clinical Supervisor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and an EMDR practitioner
.
With over 30 years in the mental health field, I bring a rich blend of clinical expertise and leadership experience to my work.
As a therapist, I’m relational, open-minded, and intuitive. I use empathy and curiosity to deeply understand your experience and help you see yourself in new, non-judgmental ways that support growth and change.
Through years of helping hundreds of clients, I’ve seen how much our mindset, core beliefs, and self-trust shape our lives. My role is to guide you on a journey of self-discovery, uncover areas where you feel stuck, and help you create meaningful change—improving your self-esteem, quality of life, and personal goals.
Therapy is like putting together a puzzle: together, we’ll move the pieces into place to reveal a clearer, more connected picture of your life.
Have you noticed how your mindset shapes your experiences? Mindset causes us to see through a lens of hope, joy, love, worry, anger, or fear.
Having a mindset based on fear can create a perception of danger, causing us to expect the worst and trigger the fight or flight response. Stress, overwhelm, and core negative beliefs can cause you to be in a state of fight or flight without even realizing it. This can even become a chronic condition and lead to symptoms of anxiety and depression, over-use of substances, poor self-image, or other negative mental and emotional states.
Alternately, having a positive mindset will help you see options and opportunities, lift your mood, and contribute to a sense of wellbeing. Learning how to manage your mindset is an important step toward healing and can shift your self-confidence. Having tools to control your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, it will be a game changer.
Mental Wellness shapes the quality of our lives and sense of self. Sometimes my clients say, "I’m not sure what to talk about today, I feel pretty good", this is when I remind them that psychotherapy is a wellness practice, it's an opportunity to build on the foundation they have built so far.
Making this commitment to yourself is making a commitment to self-mastery, to being a better version of yourself.
Talking with a professional can help you:
* See new perspectives
* Consider options you hadn't previously considered
* Find new paths forward in your life
